COMPAÑÍA CERVECERA DE CANARIAS: automatic pallet elevator

Do you know the automatic pallet lifter? This forklift allows us to automate processes, streamlining and improving work efficiency. It is one of the most complete and requested products in our catalogue. Do you want to know what makes it so demanded? We tell you about it together with one of the clients who have opted for the automatic forklift for their facilities.

The Compañía Cervecera de Canarias with factories in Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is owned by the brewery group Anheuser-Busch InBev based in Belgium, world leader with more than 500 beer brands that export to more than 150 countries.

Its factory in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is located on the outskirts of the city and has various heights as it is located in an area with slopes. The client had an old elevator that allowed the transport of empty bottles to the manufacturing plant automatically. They decided to invest in a new one as the old equipment was unreliable and did not meet the necessary safety standards.

In collaboration with our distributor Ingenut Soluciones Industriales S.L, VINCA designed, manufactured and installed a automatic pallet elevator tailored, more reliable, with greater intensity of use, reversible and complying with regulations and necessary security measures.

In this case, the forklift has two levels. The lower level is the 5th floor of the factory, which has access from the street, and the upper level is the 7th floor, where the bottles are filled. The elevator is reversible to be used at certain times as a means of evacuating materials from the manufacturing plant to the outside.

How does the auto lift work?

When placing a pallet with a forklift truck on the roller conveyor of the lower floor, it automatically starts up and lifts it to the next floor, expelling it to the upper roller conveyor. The system detects if the paths of the upper floor are free and busy, automatically stopping and starting the system and using the roller paths of both floors as lungs.

The system has automatic doors synchronized with the elevator, avoiding entrapment on the lower floor and falls on the upper floor.

  • The system is reversible and can transport pallets from the lower floor to the upper floor and vice versa.
  • Acoustic light signal indicates the presence of a pallet in the plant ready for unloading with a forklift.
  • CE 2006/42 certified facility

What parts does it have?

In this case, the forklift is made up of: the roller conveyor and the pallet elevator. Adapting the designs to each need.

In this project, 2 roller units are arranged on the lower level and 2 on the upper level. These rollers have the exact useful width for the pallets and have pallet detection photocells on each roller to allow movement to the next and automatic operation.

The lower and upper areas are connected by a lifting platform with a self-supporting structure and a galvanized "pegasus" sheet metal enclosure, especially for exteriors, and with two motorized roller doors, one on each floor, at the entrance to the elevator with automatic opening upon arrival of the pallet.
